Absentee/UOCAVA Voters

You may print  ABSENTEE BALLOT APPLICATIONS here. Applications may be received starting January 1, 2024, but no later than 6 days prior (May 8th 2024) to the election.  All applications must be received in the office of the County Clerk by the close of business on the 6th day prior to the election.  Applications may be mailed, faxed, emailed, or delivered in person.

Emergency Absentee voting requirements – Voter must be confined to a hospital within the county of residence.  Emergency Absentee voting services may be requested no earlier than 7 days prior to an election and no later than noon on election day.  (Application for an Emergency Absentee Ballot)

Absentee applications must be received by your County Clerk no later than the 6th day before the election.

Military & Overseas Voters

Military personnel and their spouses may register and vote using their last physical address in Cabell County using the Absentee Ballot Application for Military and Overseas Voters.  All military bases provide Federal Post Card Registration Forms which also serve as absentee ballot requests.  Requests may be faxed or emailed for absentee ballots but we must receive the original form to register or make changes to a current registration.
