The record room is located on the 1st floor of the Courthouse in Room 108.
The office is open from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday - Friday.

The record room contains copies of all documents recorded concerning real estate.
Our records begin in 1809.
Our indexes are on the computer from January 1, 1995 to the present.

To look up a deed you must have the owner's name of address of the property.

All records are open to the public, but we are not permitted to do research. Records contained in this office are:

    CERTIFICATES OF INCORPORATION

Original documents are copied and stored in permanent books kept in our office and the originals returned within 2-3 days.

Copy fees are $1.50 for the first 2 pages and $1.00 for each additional page per document.

Justifications are issued for $2.50 each.

You can also obtain information on delinquent real estate taxes sold to individuals. Taxes sold by the sheriff may be redeemed within 18 months from the date of sale in the County Clerk's Office by paying the taxes sold, current taxes, penalties, interest & redemption fee.

Property owners or anyone with an interest in the real estate may redeem. Payments must be made by cash, cashier's check or money order.
